Don't Forget...

I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July! I just wanted to remind everyone to be sure to check our Google Calendar link over in the righthand column. It's filled with craft and supply shows from now until the end of the year. Applications are beginning to come out for holiday shows and we all know that's a handmade artist's busiest time of the year!

One of the larger shows that our friends up in Austin have invited San Antonio artisans to participate in is the EtsyAustin Craft Riot 2010. Be sure to check out our calendar for all the details and a link to the application. We'd love to have a great showing at this event and show our neighbors up I-35 what San Antonio handmade artists can really do!

Also, don't forget about our next Alamo City Handmade Meeting/Sangria Brunch on July 11 at noon. Come on out to Sew-Deluxe (1132 S. Hackberry St., #1, on the corner of Hackberry & Florida) to have some fun, eat, mingle, and swap some crafts. Come meet fellow Alamo City Handmade members, learn about upcoming events and how you can be a part of it all. All those planning on attending are asked to bring a dish suitable for at least 5 servings. If you plan to indulge in alcoholic beverages please bring your ID.

After brunch, it's time to talk ACH business, swap crafts and network. Bring business cards, raw supplies, and even finished crafts. This event is open to anyone looking to connect with the DIY community in San Antonio.
